Hello, I'm Ryann. Today at math camp for girls we did activities leading up to learning about
polynomials. Before we started we did a critical thinking activity were we had to make a tower with tape, one sheet of paper, and scissors. The winners got a prize. Then we learned about Hypatia, she
was the first female mathematician. Hypatia was born in the late 300s A.D. Although she was murdered in 415 A.D. because she was a supposed witch. She also never got married.
Then we learned about Venn Diagrams. Venn diagrams are two or more circles that compare and contrast two or more topics. After that, we learned about polynomials. The definition of polynomial is an expression that can have constants, variables and exponents, that can be combined with addition, subtraction, division, or multiplication. We learned about monomials, binomials, and trinomials. after that we got to make our own polynomials and no i have provided you with pictures from two of the polynomials I have made.
